How to achieve Fashion Week inspired looks with Speqs

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week always seems to bring the most outrageous street and runway styles into the light. Some runways will make you question whether that outfit is ever wearable in real life, even some of the guest’s outfits can be questionable. There are a few looks you can achieve without the craziness of fashion week to wear in everyday life.

After showing at New York Fashion Week for six years, Dion Lee opened Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. The capsule Resort 18 collection showed on Sunday 14th of May. Around 500 fashion industry guests attended including international and national media, high-profile buyers and a selection of VIP’s. Dion Lee officially opened Australian Fashion Week with a high.

Sports Luxe

Dion Lee accessorised the show with slitted brimmed hats and sleek, modern sunglasses. The nine pairs of glasses complimented the rigid silhouettes of the runway with bold frames and classic stand out styles. His eyewear collection [EYES] has an unmissable athletic aesthetic. Brooding on one of Australia’s most popular trends, Sports Luxe.

Adapting the Sports Luxe trend into your daily life is easier than you think! Pair these styles with your activewear or work clothes to add a sporty carefree edge to your look. Mixing your professional and corporate style with sports accessories is one of the most comfortable trends to adopt into your current wardrobe. Rectangle and Cat-eye glasses

One of the biggest eyewear trends seen at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week was definitely these rectangle frames! This feline style suits all face shapes and lifts a look to a sophisticated level. Everyone looks good wearing these when walking on the runway or through a crowd of Fashion Week paparazzi! Use the vintage style to create a fashion forward look with your outfit, show off your restyled classic frames and experiment with frame styles! Our best women’s rectangle styles are within our Mademoiselle collection.

Clear aviators were worn by so many Fashion Industry insiders this year. They were most commonly worn as optical glasses with a wire frame and clear lenses. I think some people were even wearing these without prescription! A clear pair of Aviators were seen outside Carriageworks on Stylist and Presenter Donny Galella. Reflective Aviators were worn by models in the Dion Lee show on opening night at the Opera House. Check out our Fashion Week Street-Style Guide blog post here!

Round Glasses

Round glasses were a hit at Fashion Week! This unisex trend has definitely made a comeback. It’s such a versatile look and can be worn endless amounts of ways. I noticed a lot of menswear bloggers and models wearing these John Lennon inspired glasses, they suit almost any face shape. My favourites styles were those that mixed with other trends. Some pairs had cat eye tips, others were combined reflective mirror lenses.

Dion Lee worked with a lot of round lenses in his runway, we also saw round lenses on the street!
